"No trouble, Shadowcat. Just trying to make the forum more civil and attempting to see to it that topical threads are not hijacked. All you have to do is start engaging in discussions instead of attacking me or anyone else. It’s as simple as that. I’m not a moderator anymore; but I have a vested interest in seeing to it that FACTnet’s discussion board is free of ad hominem and flaming rhetoric. You have a problem with me? Fine. Start a thread about how much you hate me; but please keep it out of threads that have subjects that have nothing to do with your personal problems with me. It’s petty and counterproductive to the purpose of this forum."
Here are ways that Dodge/Will and formerly Josh125, FactNet moderator, sees "...that FACTnet’s discussion board is free of ad hominem and flaming rhetoric. " (I thought he wasn't a moderator anymore):
First of all, this is from a guy who as the moderator Josh125, changed the title of a thread to "Smyrna's Complaint Thread" AFTER the thread "Complaints Concerning FactNet's Moderation and Administration of their Discussion Boards" was created!
And if Shadowcat was to start a thread, as Dodge suggests, about why she hates him, would that not be a personal attack and against the rules? So why is he suggesting she do that? Didn't he just say he has a "vested interest" in "...seeing to it that FACTnet’s discussion board is free of ad hominem and flaming rhetoric."? What an idiot.
Choice quotes from this hypocrite:
It was fun, I enjoyed playing with Photoshop and creating those outrageous characterizations of the imaginary supernatural being that people call Jesus, Christ, and The Lord. As someone who sees this mythic character from the Bible as existing nowhere but in the minds of those who believe it, it really didn’t mean anything to me. It might as well have been Zeus, Hercules, Mickey Mouse, or Zippy the Pinhead."
Let's look at one definition of an Internet troll: "Playtime Trolls: an individual plays a simple, short game. Such trolls
are relatively easy to spot because their attack or provocation is
fairly blatant, and the persona is fairly two-dimensional." - Net lingo
Dodge wasn't finished dumping on Christians: ..."If you want to believe in imaginary invisible mythological supernatural
beings like Christ, Satan, demons and angels that’s your right; but I
don’t. What I did was satire (using humor, irony, exaggeration, or
ridicule to expose and criticize what seem to me to be ridiculous
beliefs)."
So Dodge admits using ridicule deliberately and it was aimed at me specifically. That means trolling. Now let;s look at Dodge's own definition of an Internet troll:
"I looked at the CureZone site, and it says that one of the defining
characteristics is one who “delights in sowing discord,” who “inspires
flaming rhetoric," “who purposely provokes and pulls people into flaming
discussion.” If you look closely at the definition there, “a troll
will insult others to provoke them to insult him.” That would be your
husband and Smyrna, Shadowcat, not me."
Really? Seems to me a guy who has admitted having no vested interest in Christianity or the Shepherd's Chapel then would only be on relevant boards just to "...purposely provoke(s) and pulls people into flaming
discussion.” If you look closely at the definition there, “a troll
will insult others to provoke them to insult him.”
Dodge's denial reminds me of those guys on the TV show "COPS" that are clearly drunk and yet say they haven't been drinking.
Here's another of his comments that of course wasn't made to be insulting, or meant to incite a flame war:
..."so they will have their self-appointed defenders like Smyrna here and
his entourage (Shadowcat and Sammael). Looking at Smyrna’s description
of his occupation reveals a lot about his nature, “To stomp Pastor
Murray’s critics,” and his description of himself as a “genius,
theologian, and champion of truth,” in his never-ending battle with his
so-called “detractors.” There is a little Don Quixote in there,
attacking windmills of his own imagination."-Dodge post # 1045
I suppose maybe he wouldn't think I would mind him describing all the attackers of the SC found at FactNet : "... windmills of his (my) own imagination."
How can one not laugh at this idiot? He actually thinks he's so intelligent, that as an atheist he's more intelligent than 95% of the population that does believe in God! And what does he base this on? "Scientific studies". Yeah, "scientific studies" once claimed we would die if we traveled in an open air vehicle more that 35 miles an hour, because we couldn't breathe in the air. "Scientific studies" have claimed that all the stars sun and planets orbited the earth. Scientific studies gives us theories such as: Two universes exist next to each other, one in this dimension, and one in another. "Ekpyrotic Universe"
From the 16th century, European experts in geography were convinced that
California was an island separate from the North American mainland.
What's next for Dodge? Will we see him as a replacement on that Dos Equis beer commercial? Will he be not "the world's most interesting man" but "the world's most intelligent" (according to the only man intelligent enough to determine that, him! Lol!)
